Biography

Andy Kay first joined a lot of well known local bands before creating "Strungout", which was a melodic death metal band that rose to fame in the local scene. Andy and fellow member Eli wrote a lot of material for the band but never released them officially due to the constant attacks (under the claim of being Anti-Christian)  on the metal scene in Lebanon . In 2008, Andy joined the metalcore band "Before We Drop Dead", which was playing gigs from underground venues to some of the biggest stages in Lebanon. Before We Drop Dead played along international bands like No Longer Music, Bilocate, BLYND, and Relics Of Martyrs and grew notorious in the hardcore scene. Due to ongoing clashes between the metal scene and authorities under the same claims as mentioned earlier, most bands stopped performing, and Before We Drop Dead disbanded before a promised tour in the Middle East with Relics of Martyrs took place. 

It was at that point in 2012 Andy Kay pursued professional snowboarding where he represented notable brands in this sport and was introduced to  DJs in the local scene. He became fond of Techno and Psytrance, so he decided to pursue a solo career as a DJ which later progressed into entering the music production world in 2019. At first, his artist name in techno was ASIXX, and his name in Psytrance was Antariksha. Upon hitting the top 20 charts in Psytrance and Techno on sites like Mixcloud and performing in multiple venues but still remaining as low key as possible, Andy decided to perform with bands again with his long time best friend Toufic Aoun, a former Red Bull Studios producer and an avid drummer and musician, and they cofounded Underclass along with their childhood friend, frontman Omar Hage.  Later that year, he decided to go under the Artist name Andy Kay for his future productions.

Toufic Aoun had greatly influenced Andy and helped him throughout his journey in the studios, and by the end of 2019, Andy Kay began composing his Debut album as a solo artist. As far as Underclass is concerned, its journey was cut short due to the pandemic striking the whole globe. By the end of 2020, Andy Kay had finished writing his debut Album "Vertigo" which is set to be released late 2021/early2022.
